The old vines are very much in evidence as there is a true abundance of palate soaking dry extract that imparts a velvety mouth feel to the mid-palate and buffers the very firm tannins on the youthfully austere

Like the Malconsorts this intensely mineral-driven effort is somewhat less structured than usual though it certainly doesn’t lack for power and punch

offering suave dark berry liqueur flavors and an aromatic

complex finish

with the result that the wine is not at all overly oaky

DRC, Echezeaux other_regions_italy The old vines are veryFine quality here with intense crushed black fruits and sexy, perfumed aromas of fresh flowers, Asian spices and earth with focused, rich, relatively powerful flavors that are balanced and harmonious. This is not especially structured and comes across as fine rather than its usual robust character. Delicious and quite long.
